Location of the hackathon

Enjoy the spectacular view and let your ideas flow during this hackathon!

The hackathon takes place on very special location: the most magnificent viewing platform in mid of the mountains, in Südtirol – Alto Adige – South Tyrol (Italy):

Kronplatz – Plan de Corones, at an altitude of 2275 m!

Using a ropeway, participants of this hackathon get to this summit plateau in the valley Pustertal – Val Pusteria. A wonderful 360° view to the surrounding mountains of the Alps will be the location for this hackathon weekend. The restaurant Kron will be the work area.

Be part of the unique hackathon in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dolomites!

Even in South Tyrol – Südtirol, which is famed for the broad palette of possibilities that it offers, the Kronplatz region is unique in its variety. The possibilities of relaxation so close to nature are unlimited, as are the athletic opportunities. In winter it is a skiarea with 32 lift facilities, in summer it is a beautiful hiking area.

On top of Kronplatz, there is a panorama tower. Since 2003 it it is the home of peace bell “Concordia 2000”, the 2nd biggest bell in the Alps. But on Kronplatz, there you can find as well a museum: In 2015 the famous extreme climber Reinhold Messner opened his last and 6th museum MMM (Messner Mountain Museum) in South Tyrol.

South Tyrol (de: Südtirol, it: Alto Adige) is a small autonomous province in the North of Italy, on the border to Austria and Switzerland.

It is dominated by high mountains. The highest peak is the Ortler (3,905 m) in the west of South Tyrol. On the east of the province are the famous Dolomites where Kronplatz – Plan de Corones is located.
